Julia SushytskaÌýspecializes in 20th century European and Eastern European philosophy, and teaches courses that bring into focus Eastern Europe as the in-between of the Western European and Russian colonial projects. Her courses includeÌýTruth, Trust, andÌýPropaganda: Postmodern Theory and the Practice of Dissent,ÌýThe Novel as Philosophy: Recollecting Lost Time,ÌýA Pervert’s Guide to Eastern Europe, andÌýRussian Novel: Idiots, Atheists, and Nihilists. Together with Alisa Slaughter, she recently translated and editedÌýA Spy for an Unknown Country—a collection ofÌýessays by a Soviet-era Georgian philosopher, Merab Mamardashvili (ibidemÌýPress, 2020).Ìý
