New Harmonies Faculty Research Showcase: Living and Dying with the Elements

with Prof. Jocelyn Pedersen (Book Arts Program), Prof. Amy Holmes-Tagchungdarpa (Religious Studies and Asian Studies) and student adventurers Solvej Lee '26 and Hannah Lieberman '27 

This showcase explores ink making technologies that come from the world around us as a way to reflect on and engage with local, sustainable knowledge in material and artistic practice in a time of ecological transformation. We welcome campus members to come and get their hands dirty with our red and black inks, and learn from our research collaborations with SoCal, Mesoamerican, and Himalayan knowledge keepers and artists.  

This event is open to students, faculty, staff (and your kids!).  Appetizers will be served!
