Dr. Paloma Franco is a compassionate mental health professional and proud native of Los Angeles. She earned her Doctor of Psychology in Applied Clinical Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology and completed her postdoctoral fellowship at Mount Saint Mary’s University. Prior to becoming a therapist, she worked in Higher Education for five years. She earned her MS in College Counseling and Student Development from Azusa Pacific University and a BA in Spanish literature from UC Merced.
As an exam ready bilingual clinician, Dr. Franco employs a trauma-informed approach, emphasizing the importance of creating a safe and collaborative therapeutic environment. She is dedicated to fostering her clients' authentic self-expression, empowering them to engage in introspection, and guiding them through their journey of self-discovery. Dr. Franco has experience in community mental health, private practice, and college counseling settings. Her areas of focus include anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, cultural challenges, grief and loss, and life transitions. She has specialized training in various therapeutic approaches, including Exposure and Response Prevention Therapy for OCD and the Trauma Resiliency Model. In her free time, Dr. Franco enjoys running, making pottery, spending time with family and reading.
