Tyler is a social worker by training, and holds deeply his profession’s values of client advocacy and social justice. He received a Master of Social Work degree from Florida State University and Bachelor of Arts from Boston College. Tyler has served as a therapist in a variety of settings, including outpatient practice, inpatient mental health hospitals, residential mental health facilities, and a university counseling center. He has helped clients address and overcome a variety of issues, including diagnosed mental health disorders, trauma, alcohol and drug use, adjustment to college, academic stress, and relationship difficulties. Tyler takes a client-focused approach to therapy and values his clients as experts of their own life experience, believing that every person deserves a safe space to share their thoughts, emotions, and concerns without the fear of judgment.
