Campus Dining is open all summer beginning Tuesday, May 27th*, with some changes in services.
Due to extensive renovations in Gresham Dining Room, summer meal service will move from the Marketplace to Samuelson Pavilion. Meals will follow a one-swipe, one-pass system—guests will swipe their card upon entry and have a single pass to collect food and beverages. Seating will be available in Samuelson Pavilion, or guests may take their meals to go.
As a result, the Tiger Cooler Express will relocate to the Marketplace, offering an à la carte alternative for Oxy students, faculty, and staff.

Summer Meal Plans (Oxy students)
During the summer, the Marketplace typically operates on an "All You Care to Eat" (AYCTE) model, allowing guests to sample options from all stations with a single card swipe. This year, due to extensive renovations, meal service will be relocated to Samuelson Pavilion and will follow a one-pass system to streamline meal distribution. Guests will swipe to enter and receive a single pass to collect food and beverages. Meals can be enjoyed inside the Pavilion or taken to go.
The Summer Meal Plan:
This summer meal plan operates differently from the academic year meal plan. Each week, your account will be loaded with 14 meals, resetting every Sunday morning. Each visit to the MP@SP, or anytime food is provided elsewhere, your account will be deducted one meal.
*Please note that only one meal can be used per meal period. Every week, a minimum of 16 up to a maximum of 21 meal periods are offered. Any meals remaining by the end of the day on Saturday will not roll over to the following week.
Most summer meal plans are valid Tuesday, May 27 through Saturday, August 2.
If you need to extend your meal plan for use after August 2, please contact Card Services.
Packed Meals Off Campus:
If you participate in a program which requires you to work off campus, packed meals may be available on a limited basis. Your participation in a qualifying program must first be verified by Robert Starec in Campus Dining: coolerrs@oxy.edu.
Meal-to-go requests will be submitted by noon the day before using a Google Form. Late requests will not be processed. The pre-packed meals are collected from the Marketplace cashier. Meals will be available for pickup as early as the same-day dinner meal period, or they may be collected during breakfast the following morning. Meals will include a choice of sandwich, hot entree, or salad, beverage, whole fruit and packaged snack/cookie. Once approved, more detailed instructions will be provided.
Other Meal Plan Information:
- During the summer, the College hosts conference groups with designated meal times, which may lead to queues at the facility. We kindly ask for your patience and respect for these guests.
- Payment for guests can be made using Cash, Credit Cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Rollover, Bengal Bucks, Sponsored Plans, or Interdepartmental Charge. All guests must pay before entering the MP@SP.
- To maintain a hygienic and organized dining environment, bringing outside food into the MP@SP is not permitted.
- Always have your valid Oxy ID card with you to access your meal plan privileges. If your ID card is lost, stolen, or damaged, you will need to purchase a new one.
- Any violation of these rules will result in a referral to the conduct system.

The Tiger Cooler Express will be open out of the Marketplace (aka TCE@MP)
The Tiger Cooler Express (TCE) is a “to go” dining option during summer operations, offering an a la carte alternative to "AYCTE" at the Marketplace.
(Offering Snacks, Drinks, Sandwiches, Made to Order Menu Items, Pizza and Salad Bar)

The TCE accepts Cash, Credit Cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Rollover, Bengal Bucks, Sponsored Plans, or Interdepartmental Charge.
For those on summer meal plans, the TCE will also offer a "meal equivalency" option for Lunch and Dinner. Unlike at the Marketplace, the meal equivalency will not provide unlimited food and beverages. During the respective meal period (lunch or dinner) a meal swipe will provide:
